Welcome to The Northumbria Area of the Ramblers

Ramblers intro pic

Here you will find useful general information, a gallery of members' pictures, links to other useful sites, a section addressing how you should report any problems you may have with access or footpaths, how to contact us, a news page, a Northumbria Area members' forum and details of the fourteen groups in our Northumbria area.

In the Groups section on the left hand side of this  page, you will find downloadable details of the current walks programme for each group.  As a Ramblers' member, you are welcome to join any group on any of their walks.

The length of the walks is often stated in the programmes, but if you are looking for short walks of less than six miles, please contact the Short Circuits Group.

The Northumbria Walking Group caters for members aged between 20 - 40, while the Northumbria Family Walking Group offers walks for those with young children.

New members are always welcome, and we are more than happy to have you come on one or two walks before you actually join to see whether you enjoy our walks and our company.

If you wish to join us on any of our walks, please contact the secretary of the Group concerned.

All information is available to anyone who visits Northumbria Ramblers' website.

If you would like to exchange ideas with other Northumbria members through the Forum or post photographs of recent walks in the Walks Gallery, you must first register with the website manager by visiting Contacts and select Contact Us.

Anyone can view the comments and the photographs on the Forum and the Walks Gallery but you can only contribute to these pages if you already registered.

For information about the Ramblers as a national organisation please visit the Ramblers website.
